Herbert George Wells was an English writer. He was prolific in many genres, writing dozens of novels, short stories, and works of social commentary, but he is now best remembered for his science fiction novels. "The War in the Air" a military science fiction novel, which is notable for its prophetic ideas, images, and concepts such as the use of the aircraft for the purpose of warfare and the coming of World War I.
