Miss Mackenzie

Trollope was an English novelist of the Victorian era. Among his best-known works is a series of novels collectively known as the Chronicles of Barsetshire, which revolves around the imaginary county of Barsetshire. In "Miss Mackenzie" Trollope made a deliberate attempt to prove that a novel may be produced without any love. He depicts Margaret Mackenzie, overwhelmed with money troubles, as she tries to assess the worth and motives of four very different suitors.
